Mohegan Gaming and Entertainment will be stocking its Pennsylvania-based facility with a sports betting lounge and online sportsbook and casino games products. The group announced a strategic five-year partnership with Kindred Group – with an option to extend – for its Mohegan Sun Pocono casino.
Mohegan Gaming’s VIP for Interactive Gaming, Aviram Alroy pointed out that the company has aligned with one of the best online casino and sport book operators in online regulated markets, thus allowing it to offer a superb experience to its new and existing customers.
“Introduction of the Kindred offering to the market is a great positive for Mohegan Sun as well as the state of Pennsylvania,” he added.
Kindred Group, formerly Unibet, continues to invest in the growing US betting market. It previously entered the New Jersey, and is now making tracks in Pennsylvania with the deal signed with Mohegan Gaming. Kindred needs to secure regulatory approval in Pennsylvania, and the first step was entering into a deal with Mohegan. It now has to petition the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, along with Mohegan, to offer sports wagering in the state.
Kindred is a well-known brand in Europe and Australian, boasting 24 million customers across its 11 brands. The mega-company is a founding member of the European Gaming and Betting Association which advocates for online gambling companies on the Continent.
The senior vice president for Kindred US, Manuel Stan said that the group was excited and proud to extend its US footprint into one of the largest US states to regulate both online sports betting and casino.
