iGambling Revenue Continues to Rise in NJ

New Jersey CasinosRevenue from New Jersey’s online gambling industry continues to rise, as it was shown in the Gaming Revenue Results for the Garden State in August 2017. Gaming win for this sector of the industry spiked to 32.4% compared to August 2016, and an impressive $21.3 million was reported as a result. Analysts are so motivated by the continued growth in New Jersey’s online gambling industry, that they predict New Jersey’s gambling industry will be worth $250 million by the end of the year.

Overall, New Jersey’s casino industry, including igambling, reported gambling revenue of more than $244.8 million in August 2017, compared with more than $232 million last year in the same month.

David Rebuck, the director of the New Jersey’s Division of Gaming Enforcement said: “These figures show the continued stabilization of the Atlantic City casino market buoyed by consistently positive online gaming numbers.”

Also adding his comments was Matthew B. Levinson, the chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the state Casino Control Commission. He said that the summer months are a traditionally crucial time for casinos, and “a strong performance from Memorial Day to Labor Day is key to their success.”

“Great summer weather and an improving economy combined to draw more business not only to the facilities in Atlantic City but to their internet operations,” he told the Press of Atlantic City. “When you see improvements like these month after month, season after season, a trend is clearly emerging.”

Casino gambling revenue from some of the Atlantic City resorts were reported as follows:

Bally’s – $21 million ($20.9 million in 2016)

Borgata – $70.4 million ($65.6 million in 2016)

Caesars – $27.6 million ($27.7 million in 2016)

Golden Nugget – $20 million ($20.4 million in 2016)

Harrah’s – $32.3 million ($33.6 million in 2016)

Tropicana – $33.6 million ($30.1 million in 2016)

Internet gambling revenue from some of the Atlantic City resorts were reported as follows:

Borgata – $4.3 million ($3.7 million in 2016)

Caesars Interactive – $4.4 million ($3.1 million in 2016)

Golden Nugget – $5.2 million ($3.2 million in 2016)

Resorts Digital – $3.5 million ($2.9 million in 2016)

Tropicana – $3.8 million ($2.9 million in 2016)
