PokerSavvy

New But Huge

Poker Savvy is the new kid on the block when it comes to poker training websites. We met one of the owners for a convention in the Caribbean and he seemed to know his stuff. With an incredible lineup of star players and more importantly star teachers there is no shortage of opportunities to learn more about the game from here and in a way that is enjoyable and can last as long or be as short as the client needs.

Free But Must Sign Up at Poker Site

Poker Savvy is more than a web tutorial for poker players however, the site actually acts as a conduit to other poker sites and through their own special thirteen point plan they point players towards bonuses on some of the top poker websites. They also provide a system whereby bonus points can be redeemed for both cash and prizes. It is Poker Savvy Plus that provides the tutorials on the game itself.

The Poker Savvy Plus link is located in a part of the site located on the right hand side of the page and actually took a little bit of searching for me to find it. Poker websites have been around long enough for the developers to know where people intuitively look. Once into Poker Savvy Plus you are greeted with a pleasant looking page with everything that you need nicely laid out before you.

The Teaching Pros

There is a long list of professional players laid out on the screen along with their photos. The list includes such names as Justin Rollo and Evan Roberts and features lessons on the intricacies of bluffing pre-flop and post, on betting against an over bet and how to improve your hand reading skills in opponents.

More Than 1 Video Added per Day +Phone App

There is a section for recent news and another for blog posts. Blog posts in particular can be useful for providing players with little tips on how to improve their game. The news and blog articles usually center around news from the poker tournament circuits featuring the big players and important hands. There is a free trial on offer for those looking to test out the site prior to buying a subscription and over six hundred and fifty videos to choose from with at least one new upload coming every day. There is also a very snazzy phone application for the site which positions Poker Savvy Plus as one of the more advanced training sites on the web at the moment.

Not A Big Player Just Yet

Poker Savvy Plus has positives and negatives to it. The link to the poker training part of the site is not intuitive which is slightly annoying but points out something bigger about the site itself. The Poker Savvy site is a poker bonuses site and doesn’t seem to have decided on the extent to which it wants to be a poker training site. There simply isn’t quite enough content on here yet to make this stand out as a place where those looking to learn the game should make their first stop.
